DVAG Archivist Election Results

Earlier this month, the Planning Committee voted to elect Theresa Altieri Taplin to the recently-vacated position of DVAG Archivist for a two-year term. Theresa received her B.A. in Anthropology, minoring in Classical Studies, from The University of Pennsylvania in 2009, and her M.A. in History, concentrating in Public History, from Villanova University in 2012. She is currently the Archivist and Collections Manager of The Foundations of The Union League of Philadelphia, where she is responsible for all activities related to the care and preservation of the historic collections under their stewardship, including archives, art, and objects. Theresa has been an active member of DVAG for the past few years, hosting meeting and events at the Union League, presenting at Archivists Being Awesome, and assisting with Archives Month Philly in various capacities. In addition to her role as Archivist of The Union League of Philadelphia, she has experience assisting with record retention and archivist duties with other organizations, including The Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States and the Pennsylvania Abolition Society.

Congratulations to Theresa and many thanks to all candidates for their willingness to stand for election and interest in serving on the Planning Committee!

Cheers,
Hillary
