11/3/17 Behind-the-Scenes Tour of the Barnes Foundation Archives

On Friday, November 3rd the Barnes Foundation Archives is opening its doors to DVAG for a behind-the-scenes tour of their new center city Archives and, after the tour, generously offering free admission to the museum and First Friday! The tour is limited to 25 people, so if you are interested in attending, please RSVP directly to kduinkerken@gmail.com as soon as possible. Because of limited space, sign-up will be limited to DVAG members until Friday, October 27. If there are still spots available after the 27th they will be opened up to plus ones.

Getting there

If you plan on driving, it’s recommended that you park on the street as this is cheaper than the Barnes parking lot. There are also numerous ways to get there by public transit.

Restaurant recommendations in the area

  • Pizzeria Vetri – excellent pizza
  • Buena Onda – great fish and shrimp tacos with some vegetarian and gluten free options as well
  • Gyu-Kaku – Japanese beer and BBQ
  • Kite and Key – good veggie burgers and beer
  • Doma BYOB – wonderful Asian fusion
