About this event:
In 2021, Longwood Gardens embarked on a major multi-year construction and expansion project, Longwood Reimagined: A New Garden Experience. The 17-acre project footprint includes a new 32,000-square-foot West Conservatory, new outdoor landscapes, and a new education and administration building, which will be home to the library and archives upon opening in 2024. The project necessitated moving the library and archives collections offsite and relocating staff offices to other buildings at Longwood. Archives Manager Judy Stevenson will discuss how the Library and Information Services Division prepared for the move, packed and tracked collections, and supervised the transfer of materials to offside storage.
