On Wednesday night, the Wagner Free Institute of Science, once again
fired up the historic lantern slide projector for the third annual
Philadelphia Lantern Slide Salon.
Covering diverse ground — entertainment to instruction; travelogues
to botany lectures — the presenters reminded us how lantern slides
were used in the past, and how they continue to be valuable to us
today.
The turn out was better than ever, the presentations among the
strongest we’ve ever seen, and we were all left thinking the same thing:
lantern slides are super cool.
