Oloch, the wooly mammoth / prize-winning “pimped-out” book truck, surveyed the scene on 10/22 as the Chemical Heritage Foundation’s Othmer Library opened its doors for a rare public open house.
Staff were on hand to talk about their work and explain context for favorite selections, but the real stars of the evening were the documents on view. Selections of archival documents, rare books, photographs, and prints (like the pictured advertising card below), and even books of carpet and dye samples, displayed the depth and breadth of the Othmer Library’s collections. If you missed this rare opportunity to see the library in person, follow Othmeralia on Tumblr to see new highlights added on an ongoing basis.
