Seeking nominees for DVAG PC

Suffragettes and petitions (LOC)

As you may have already seen on our listerv (one of the perks of DVAG membership), it’s election time! The Delaware Valley Archivists’ Group is run by a planning committee of elected and nominated officers — that means you! If you’re interested in running for any of the following positions or wish to be considered for any of the nominated positions, please send an email with a brief bio and why you want to run for this office to our current chair, Christiana Dobrzynski Grippe, at chair[at]dvarchivists[dot]org, by November 16th, 2015.

Please note that only current members in good standing are eligible to run for an office.

Vice Chair/Chair Elect: The vice chair position is a 3-year commitment, with the person serving one year each as vice chair, then chair, then past chair. The vice-chair is responsible for organizing meetings (with the help of the rest of the planning committee).

Secretary: The secretary serves a 2-year term and is responsible for taking notes at meetings and distributing those notes to the PC.

Treasurer: The treasurer serves a 2-year term and is responsible for managing DVAG’s income (membership, donations) and expenditures (meetings, workshops, etc.).

We’re also seeking people to fill 2 appointed positions, which are voted on by the PC and not the general membership.
DVAG Archivist: This newly-created position will be responsible for managing the DVAG records currently held at Temple University’s SCRC.
Member-at-Large: Members-at-large help out the PC as needed, but have also managed projects within DVAG like Archivists Being Awesome or Archives Month Philly.

For more information about these positions see our Officers & Committee Members page.
Again, please submit all bios and nominations to chair[at]dvarchivists[dot]org by Monday, November 16th.
