Archives Month Philly 2016 Planning Kick-Off

Spring is almost here, and summer soon after that, followed up closely by the fall, and fall means ARCHIVES MONTH PHILLY. During the month of October, everyone is invited to celebrate archives, the work of archivists, and the rich history of Philadelphia at events across the city and surrounding areas.
The past few years have been amazing, but we need your help to make Archives Month Philly 2016 the best yet! The Archives Month Philly Planning Team needs volunteers to help us plan centerpiece events, coordinate independent events, and publicize the festival. If you’d like to get involved, please fill out our 2016 AMP volunteer form. We hope to see you at our Volunteer Orientation at 6:00 pm on Monday, March 28th!
If you’re not interested in joining the AMP Planning Team but you work at an institution in the Philadelphia area, start thinking right now about holding a great outreach event in October. Check out our Get Involved page to learn how institutions can participate, and browse past events for ideas. In the next couple of months we’ll send out a call for events and post the event submission form.
As always, please send your questions, comments, concerns, or pearls of wisdom to archivesmonthphilly@gmail.com.
Archives Month Philly is sponsored by the Delaware Valley Archivists Group, but participation is open to everyone! Please share this blog post widely with anyone who might be interested.
