AMP 2018 – Digitization Day at the John J. Wilcox Archives

Posted on behalf of Celia Caust-Ellenbogen

On October 27th, the John J. Wilcox Archives at the William Way LGBT Community Center welcomed community members for a digitization day. Oriented towards empowering the LGBT community to value their stories and safeguard their histories, the event serves a dual purpose of growing the Archives’ digital collections – check out their newly launched digital library at https://digital.wilcoxarchives.org/! By the end of the day, nearly 300 images had been scanned, and five (analog) donations had been added to the collection. Not bad for a rainy Saturday afternoon!
