DVAG Treasurer Report 2023 from Briana Giasullo
Reflecting on DVAG’s efforts to strive for transparency, accountability, and fiscal responsibility, DVAG presents the 2023 Treasurer’s Report.
In 2023, DVAG was happy to provide funding for Archives Month Philly and various social gatherings. We awarded three SAA Annual Meeting Travel Grant recipients this year: two in-person and one virtual. Previous years awarded four virtual attendees and only one in-person, but more applicants were interested in traveling this year than attending virtually. Also, in lieu of the previously given $400 Committee on Diversity and Inclusion (CoDI) award, we voted instead to increase next year’s award to $1,500. This will hopefully function as a stipend for an internship. And finally, we went forward with a proposal to dissolve the fiscal responsibility between THATCamp and DVAG, and to disburse the remaining $363.91 to KeystoneDH.
